Alexander Olsson is the 2011 recipient of the Tällberg Foundation Scholarship

Alexander Olsson 2011The winner is selected by the board of Dalarnas Spelmansförbund (Dalarna’s Fiddlers Association) which is chaired by Pontus Selderman. This year the recipient is Alexander Olsson:

Alexander Olsson is 18 years and started playing the violin at 7 years of age. At the age of 13 he started playing the violin with his father, Pers Hans, at home and they have played together ever since. They recently released an album together called Hemma Igen (Home again). Alexander is a high school student in his hometown of Rättvik, Dalarna, Sweden.
