The Project that we are calling Plan C is a partnership endeavour to assemble, integrate and progress into action the best thinking that has been done regarding guiding human activities away from a collision course with Nature and towards a lasting compatibility.

We aim to generate knowledge and thinking that describes concrete legal, political, economic and practical steps that should be taken to move the human global activities away from the current catastrophic trajectory.

The start points for this project is the development, already underway through the Tällberg Consensus Project, of two sets of boundary conditions, those set by nature beyond which we must not transgress if we are to ensure a stable planetary system, and those that we must set ourselves through a definition of the moral imperatives that our current knowledge of the planetary environmental emergency bestows upon us. The practical implications of these boundaries will underpin the entire project.

Plan C will convene cross-sector thinkers to focus on key sectors of human activities. The aim is to identify the underlying cogs in the system where change will have most effect, and define how this change can be achieved. The most respected and creative work done in the fields of economics, business and finance, technological transition and governance, law and security will be harnessed and integrated using the unique Tällberg methodology.
