Karin
is a project director with Tällberg Foundation.
She works with concept
and program development for the annual Tällberg Forums, has been in
charge
of several international meetings/”Tällberg conversations” and was
overall program responsible for the Rework the world gathering in June
2010, which brought 1700 changemakers from 120 countries to Leksand,
Dalarna. She is currently engaged in the foundation’s
work on “Miljonprogrammen”, with the ambition to catalyse change for
radical social and physical upgrading of large old housing estates.
Before
joining Tällberg Foundation, Karin worked with sustainable development –
supporting environmental improvements in small businesses in the Baltic
Sea region - at Nutek, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional
Growth. She has also worked with the United Nations Development Program
in Belarus, developing and supervising projects aiming at democratic
governance. Prior to that, Karin worked as a management
consultant with McKinsey & Company.
Karin has an MSc in Chemical Engineering from
KTH (Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm) and a BA in Political Science and Russian from Stockholm University.
She has studied in the US, UK and Russia.
