Carl Mossfeldt is a senior advisor of the Tällberg Foundation.
Carl was previously the CEO of the Tällberg Foundation and has led numerous strategic change projects for the Foundation. He played a central role in realising the first Tällberg Forum in 2005 as well as in the build-up of the Tällberg organisation. From 2008 to 2010 he ran the largest Tällberg Foundation project to date: "Rework the World". This was a two year exercise which culminated in a summit of 1700 people from 120 countries in Leksand, Sweden. The focus of the project was to incubate new systems based efforts that combine large scale job creation and climate mitigation with financial sustainability.
Carl retains strong links to the Tällberrg Foundation, where he heads up a number of special projects, including the ambitious new leadership programme "Stepping-up in an interdependent and unpredictable world". His focus however is increasingly shifting from "systems thinking", the hallmark of the Tällberg Foundation, towards "systems doing": the design and execution of large scale change effort. He is particularly engaged in the areas of urban regeneration and in new development strategies. In these areas Carl works independently with a focus on realising large scale and innovative financial transactions able to power positive systemic change. A key succcess to date is incubating a US$14m commercial bank transaction to finance the sales effort of 200 000 efficient cooking stoves and 200 000 solar lanterns run by Self Employed Women's Association, India.
Carl started his career in strategy consulting and risk management for the financial services industry in London. He has also taught Economics and Philosophy at the Mahindra United World College of India.
Carl is a World Fellow at Yale University. He holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and an M.Phil in Intellectual History and Political Thought from Cambridge University. He is also a graduate of the United World College of the Adriatic, Italy.
