Each year the Tällberg Foundation awards a scholarship to a young musician from the region of Dalarna.

The purpose is to help promising young folk musicians to finance a journey to the USA where he or she has the opportunity to interact with Swedish-American folk musicians. The winner is selected by the board of Dalarnas Spelmansförbund which is chaired by Lars Jobs.
