What is sustainability?
Towards a new definition
Track 1: As the present path is not sustainable – what is?

At a time of abundant knowledge, innumerable technologies, expanding human potential and innovation - all over the planet - how can this collective capital be mobilized to take us through the eco-systems and energy crises the world is facing? How can we find or invent the key to true sustainability? The search must start in our basic assumptions and value base. Only then can we begin to answer the question at the heart of the Tällberg Forum: How on Earth can we live together?

Can we stay safe?

Avoiding conflicts in the face of ecosystem collapse

Can we stay healthy?

Avoiding health threats

Is one Earth enough?

Reconciling conflicting demands on global land use

Can we agree?

Improving global governance of climate change

Can we share?

Building a sustainable growth model for the poor

Does only money count?

Building capital markets for a sustainable society

Do we care?

Mobilising the many for the transition ahead

Can we do as we do?

Towards a sustainable form of globalization
