Rework the World
The Tallberg Foundation held the The 5th Global YES Summit - Rework the World event on 2 - 5 June, 2010, in idyllic Leksand, Sweden.

This year the Tallberg Forum became an integrated part of the largest event the Tallberg Foundation has ever produced: We gathered 1,700 people from all over jordglob2the globe at The 5th Global YES Summit - Rework the World. The focus was on 100 carefully selected initiatives from around the world, which could provide the jobs of tomorrow and help build a more socially, financially and ecologically sustainable world.

The selected initiatives fall within five areas: Energy, Water, Land, Cities and People. The focus on concrete efforts gives an essential bottom-up dimension to the structure of the summit. However, a plenary programme and a large number of discussions at a strategic level complement this, providing a deeply immersive and informative environment. The ventures on display will be at different levels of maturity. Some will be looking for small funds of philanthropic or aid capital; others will be in search of substantial injections of commercial funding. Yet others will be coming to get input on their business plans, or are in search of strategic contacts.

350 op-adConfirmed participants for the summit included Percy Barnevik (Hand in Hand), Gunilla Carlsson (Minister for International Development Cooperation, Sweden), Lars Thunell (CEO IFC), Oystein Loset (CEO Vattenfall), Arun Maira (Planning Commission, India), Sarah McPhee (CEO of SPP), Peter Norman (CEO 7th Swedish Pension Fund), Reeta Roy (CEO, Mastercard Foundation), Nobel laureate Elinor Ostrom, Mary Robinson (Executive Director, Ethical Globalization Initiative; Former president of Ireland), Ismail Serageldin (director of the Library of Alexandria), and many more.
