The prize was presented to Bo Ekman at the Ejendals Arena as part of the annual Enterprise Day in Leksand.
“This distinction tops all the praise and recognition the Tällberg Forum has gained,” Ekman said at the ceremony. “Now we know we are truly a part of the community and I am very proud.”
Ekman was joined Tällberg Forum project coordinator Alm Sara Ersson to receive the Gold Horse, along with a Wooden Owl from Leksand’s twin city Tobetsu in Japan, from Rune Joon, chairman of the local business association and Ulrika Liljeberg of the Leksand City Council.
The Gold Horse is awarded every year by the Leksand Insjön Siljansnäs Business Association to the person, company or organization that has made a meritorious contribution to the community.
The village of Tällberg where the Tällberg Forum has been convened since 2005, bringing leaders from around the world to discuss global issues, is part of Leksand community.
